The Space

This 2-villa combo gives you two ground-floor apartments inside the Los Antonio complex:
Villa 2 in Futbol House and Villa 3 in Jungle House. They’re just a short walk apart, each fully self-contained, so your group can stay close but not on top of each other.

Across the two villas, you’ll have:

Villa 2 · Futbol House · Downstairs King + Sofa Suite

  • Open sleeping area with 1 California King bed
  • 1 full-size sleeper sofa
  • 1 full bathroom with hot water
  • Full kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, and basic cookware
  • Indoor dining table and comfortable seating
  • A/C to keep things cool during the heat of the day

Villa 3 · Jungle House · Downstairs King Suite

  • Studio-style layout with 1 King bed
  • 1 full-size futon / sofa bed
  • 1 full bathroom with hot water
  • Full kitchen with oven, stove, fridge, microwave
  • Coffee maker, toaster, rice cooker, and basic kitchen essentials
  • Indoor dining table plus a small outdoor dining/sitting area

Together, Villas 2 & 3 feel like two simple, well-equipped hotel-apartments: both on ground level, both with kitchens, and both easy to pop in and out of during the day.

Beach & Location

Los Antonio is set in Puerto Carrillo, just outside Sámara:

  • Easy walk or quick drive to Playa Carrillo, a calm, palm-fringed bay that’s perfect for swimming and relaxing
  • Wide beach with natural shade and no high-rise hotels or loud clubs
  • A favorite for families, couples, and long-stay travelers who want a quieter base

You’re next to the local fútbol field and plaza, close to small hotels, simple restaurants, and places to grab a coffee or cold drink. Sámara is nearby if you want surf, more dining options, and a bit more buzz.

Safe, Quiet Neighborhood with Parking

Villas 2 & 3 sit in a residential, low-key part of Puerto Carrillo:

  • The streets around the plaza and field are walkable and relaxed, day and night
  • You’ll see everyday village life: kids playing, local matches, neighbors walking to the store
  • Free on-site parking makes it easy if you’re arriving with a rental car

Guests generally feel very comfortable walking to the grocery, heading to the beach, or going out to eat without worrying about safety.

Remote Work & Longer Stays

This combo works especially well if you’re planning to stay a bit longer or work remotely:

  • Fast Wi-Fi (around 120–130 Mbps) in the complex – good for video calls and streaming
  • Two separate apartments mean you can split quiet work space from hangout space
  • Air conditioning in both villas keeps things comfortable during the warmer hours
  • Puerto Carrillo stays calm, while Sámara is a short drive or bus ride away for coworking-style cafés and more going on

If one or two people need to work online while others are on full vacation mode, this setup makes it easy.

Amenities & Comfort

In Villas 2 & 3 you’ll find:

  • 2 King beds + 2 full-size sofa beds
  • 2 full bathrooms with hot water
  • Two full kitchens (stove/oven, fridge, basic cookware, dishes, coffee maker)
  • Microwave, toaster, and rice cooker in Villa 3
  • Indoor dining tables and seating areas in both villas
  • Outdoor sitting / dining area at Villa 3
  • High-speed Wi-Fi
  • Air conditioning
  • TV
  • Beach access via a short walk or quick drive to Playa Carrillo
  • Free parking on the property
  • Self check-in via keypad / lockbox
  • Exterior security cameras around the building (no cameras inside)
  • Fresh linens, towels, and basic essentials so you can settle in as soon as you arrive

Nearby, there’s also a resort-style pool across the street by Jungle House; access or day use may depend on local arrangements, so check your welcome details or ask before you go.

Within a Short Walk You’ll Find

  • Local sodas (traditional Costa Rican restaurants)
  • Small grocery / mini-super and corner shops
  • Simple cafés and bakeries
  • Hotels and restaurants near the plaza
  • Bus routes and taxis to Sámara and other nearby beaches

You can keep things very simple: walk for coffee, grab a plate of casado, do your beach time at Carrillo, and then decide on day trips as you go.

Who This Stay Is Perfect For

  • Two families or couples who want their own apartments but on the same level
  • Groups traveling with older adults or small kids who prefer to avoid stairs
  • Remote workers who want one “work-focused” apartment and one “relax and hang” apartment
  • Guests who like a ground-floor, easy-in/easy-out setup close to the beach and plaza

Villas 2 & 3 give you a no-fuss, comfortable base that’s very easy to live in for more than just a weekend.

Good to Know

  • This booking includes two separate downstairs villas (Villa 2 and Villa 3) within the Los Antonio complex
  • Each villa has its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and A/C
  • Both are on the ground floor, so stairs are not needed for sleeping areas
  • Expect normal Costa Rican village sounds (fútbol games, roosters, dogs, kids playing)
  • No smoking inside the villas
  • Pets may be considered – please ask in advance if you’re traveling with a pet
  • Playa Carrillo is nearby and easy to reach on foot or by a short drive

Book Villas 2 & 3 at Los Antonio if you want two ground-floor apartments side-by-side in a quiet beach village, with full kitchens, strong Wi-Fi, and an easy routine between the plaza and Playa Carrillo.

FAQ

Do I need to rent a car, or can I stay here without one?

You can absolutely stay here without a rental car if you’re comfortable walking and using local transport. The beach, grocery store, and several places to eat are all within walking distance. There’s also a local bus route connecting Puerto Carrillo and Sámara, plus taxis that can be arranged if needed. That said, if you want to explore multiple beaches and towns along the Nicoya Peninsula on your own schedule, a rental car gives you the most flexibility.

How does cleaning work during my stay? Are linens and towels provided?

The apartment is professionally cleaned before your arrival, and fresh bed linens and bath towels are provided for your group. For stays of a week or more, we can help arrange an optional mid-stay cleaning and linen change for an additional fee – just ask before or during your trip. There is space to hang-dry clothes and towels, and if you’d like recommendations for local laundry services, we’re happy to share options.

What should I expect in terms of noise (fútbol field, village, wildlife)?

Most guests find Puerto Carrillo peaceful compared to larger tourist towns, but it is still a real Costa Rican village. From time to time you may hear fútbol games on the field, children playing, dogs, roosters in the morning, or music from local gatherings, especially on weekends or holidays. Inside the apartment, noise is usually moderate, but if you’re a very light sleeper, we recommend bringing earplugs for extra comfort, just like anywhere in rural Costa Rica.

What happens if there’s a power or internet outage during my stay?

In coastal areas of Costa Rica, it’s normal to have occasional short power or internet interruptions, especially during storms or maintenance. Most outages are brief and resolve on their own. If anything lasts longer than expected, send us a quick message so we can check with the provider and give you an update. We always recommend downloading important work files, maps, and tickets offline before traveling, just in case you need to access them while things reboot.
