The Space

This 2-villa combo connects Villa 1 in Futbol House (upstairs) with Villa 4 in Jungle House (upstairs) inside the Los Antonio complex. You get two upper-level king suites in two neighboring buildings, perfect when you want views, breeze, and a bit of separation for couples or friends traveling together.

Across the two villas, you’ll have:

Villa 1 · Futbol House · Upstairs King Suite

  • 1 bedroom with a Grand/California King bed
  • 1 full bathroom with hot water
  • Open-plan living area with sofa and smart TV
  • Fully equipped kitchen for cooking at home
  • Balcony with views over the fútbol field and surrounding hills
  • Large windows that catch the breeze plus air conditioning when the sun is strong

Villa 4 · Jungle House · Upstairs King Suite

  • Upper-level suite with 2 King beds in a spacious sleeping area
  • 1 full bathroom with hot water
  • Full kitchen for simple meals and snacks
  • Indoor seating and dining area
  • Balcony / outdoor area with village and hillside views

Together, Villas 1 & 4 feel like two sky-level hideaways: each couple or mini-group gets their own upstairs villa, their own kitchen, and their own balcony, while still being just a short walk apart inside the same small complex.

Beach & Location

Los Antonio sits in Puerto Carrillo, a quiet village just outside Sámara:

  • Short walk or quick drive to Playa Carrillo, known for its calm water and palm-lined shore
  • Ideal for swimming, relaxing under the trees, and long walks on the sand
  • Much quieter than big tourist towns, but Sámara is close for surf, shops, and nightlife

From the villas, you’re close to the local plaza and fútbol field, small restaurants, and simple cafés. It’s an easy, low-stress base for exploring this part of the Nicoya Peninsula.

Safe, Quiet Neighborhood with Parking

Villas 1 & 4 are part of the Los Antonio villa complex in a calm, residential area:

  • The surroundings are walkable and relaxed, day and night
  • You’ll see local families, kids playing, and typical small-town Costa Rica life
  • Free on-site parking is available if you’re arriving with a rental car

Most guests appreciate how safe and straightforward it feels to walk to the store, grab dinner, or head down toward the beach.

Remote Work & Longer Stays

This combo is especially good if you’re mixing vacation and remote work:

  • Fast Wi-Fi (around 120–130 Mbps) – solid for video calls, streaming, and uploads
  • Two separate upstairs villas mean you can split workspaces or keep one unit quieter
  • Air conditioning in both villas makes afternoon work or rest comfortable
  • When you want more action, Sámara is an easy drive or bus ride away for cafés, coworking-style spots, and more restaurants

If someone needs to jump on calls while others nap or watch a movie, it’s easy to make that work with two fully separate spaces.

Amenities & Comfort

In Villas 1 & 4 you’ll find:

  • 3 King beds total (1 in Villa 1, 2 in Villa 4)
  • 2 full bathrooms with hot water
  • Two full kitchens (stove/oven, fridge, basic cookware, dishes, coffee maker)
  • Indoor dining tables and living areas
  • Balconies and outdoor sitting spaces with village and hill views
  • High-speed Wi-Fi
  • Air conditioning
  • TV
  • Beach access via a short walk or quick drive to Playa Carrillo
  • Free parking on the property
  • Self check-in via keypad / lockbox
  • Exterior security cameras on the building (no cameras inside)
  • Fresh linens, towels, and basic essentials so you can settle in on arrival

Within a Short Walk You’ll Find

  • Local sodas (traditional Costa Rican restaurants)
  • Simple cafés and small shops
  • A grocery / mini-super for basics
  • Hotels and restaurants around the plaza
  • Bus routes and taxis for trips to Sámara and other nearby beaches

You can arrive, unpack, and then decide day by day whether to stay local in Carrillo or head out exploring.

Who This Stay Is Perfect For

  • Two or three couples who want separate upstairs villas close together
  • Friends traveling together who like privacy but still want the same central base
  • Remote workers or digital nomads sharing a trip and needing more than one quiet space
  • Guests who prefer breezy, upper-level suites with views over ground-level units

You get a lot of flexibility: two full upstairs apartments, two kitchens, plenty of king beds, and no one stuck on a pull-out in the middle of the living room.

Good to Know

  • This booking includes two separate upstairs villas (Villa 1 in Futbol House and Villa 4 in Jungle House)
  • Each villa has its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and A/C
  • Stairs are required to access both villas
  • Expect normal Costa Rican village sounds (fútbol games, roosters, dogs, kids playing)
  • No smoking inside the villas
  • Pets may be considered – please ask in advance if you’re traveling with a pet
  • Playa Carrillo is very close and easy to reach by foot or a short drive

Book Villas 1 & 4 at Los Antonio if you want two separate upstairs king suites, side-by-side in a relaxed village setting, with strong Wi-Fi, full kitchens, and easy access to Playa Carrillo and Sámara.

FAQ

Do I need to rent a car, or can I stay here without one?

You can absolutely stay here without a rental car if you’re comfortable walking and using local transport. The beach, grocery store, and several places to eat are all within walking distance. There’s also a local bus route connecting Puerto Carrillo and Sámara, plus taxis that can be arranged if needed. That said, if you want to explore multiple beaches and towns along the Nicoya Peninsula on your own schedule, a rental car gives you the most flexibility.

How does cleaning work during my stay? Are linens and towels provided?

The apartment is professionally cleaned before your arrival, and fresh bed linens and bath towels are provided for your group. For stays of a week or more, we can help arrange an optional mid-stay cleaning and linen change for an additional fee – just ask before or during your trip. There is space to hang-dry clothes and towels, and if you’d like recommendations for local laundry services, we’re happy to share options.

What should I expect in terms of noise (fútbol field, village, wildlife)?

Most guests find Puerto Carrillo peaceful compared to larger tourist towns, but it is still a real Costa Rican village. From time to time you may hear fútbol games on the field, children playing, dogs, roosters in the morning, or music from local gatherings, especially on weekends or holidays. Inside the apartment, noise is usually moderate, but if you’re a very light sleeper, we recommend bringing earplugs for extra comfort, just like anywhere in rural Costa Rica.

What happens if there’s a power or internet outage during my stay?

In coastal areas of Costa Rica, it’s normal to have occasional short power or internet interruptions, especially during storms or maintenance. Most outages are brief and resolve on their own. If anything lasts longer than expected, send us a quick message so we can check with the provider and give you an update. We always recommend downloading important work files, maps, and tickets offline before traveling, just in case you need to access them while things reboot.
