The Space

This 2-villa combo brings together Villa 2 in Futbol House and Villa 4 in Jungle House at the Los Antonio complex in Puerto Carrillo. You get two separate, self-contained apartments just a few steps apart, so your group can stay close while still having privacy.

Across the two villas, you’ll have:

  • 3 Grand/California King beds + 1 full-size sofa bed
  • 2 full bathrooms with hot water
  • 2 full kitchens for cooking at home
  • Indoor dining and seating in each villa
  • Outdoor sitting areas with views of the village, fútbol field, and hills

It feels like booking a small cluster of apartments on the village plaza: everyone is together, but each couple or family still gets their own door, bathroom, and kitchen.

Beach & Location

From Los Antonio, it’s a quick walk or 2-minute drive to Playa Carrillo, one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and swimmable beaches:

  • Palm-lined bay with calm water and soft sand
  • Great for swimming, walking, and relaxing away from big party crowds
  • Very popular with families, couples, and longer-stay travelers

You’re also right by the local fútbol field and plaza, so you can watch village life, hear the occasional game, and walk to small hotels, restaurants, and cafes in just a few minutes.

Safe, Quiet Neighborhood with Parking

Los Antonio sits in a calm, residential corner of Puerto Carrillo:

  • The police station is nearby, which adds to the safe, low-key feel
  • The area around the villas is walkable and relaxed, day and night
  • Free on-site parking makes it easy if you’re arriving with a rental car

Guests often comment on how comfortable they feel walking to the store, heading to the beach, or grabbing dinner without needing to drive everywhere.

Remote Work & Longer Stays

This combo works really well for remote workers, digital nomads, or families staying a bit longer:

  • Fast Wi-Fi (around 120–130 Mbps) in the complex – solid for calls, streaming, and uploads
  • Two separate apartments means you can split work and rest spaces
  • Quiet village vibe in Puerto Carrillo, with Sámara a short drive or bus ride away for coworking cafés and more nightlife
  • The bus stop to Sámara is close, so you don’t have to drive every day if you don’t want to

If you’re working remotely while others are on pure vacation, this setup makes it easy for everyone to get what they need.

FAQ

Do I need to rent a car, or can I stay here without one?

You can absolutely stay here without a rental car if you’re comfortable walking and using local transport. The beach, grocery store, and several places to eat are all within walking distance. There’s also a local bus route connecting Puerto Carrillo and Sámara, plus taxis that can be arranged if needed. That said, if you want to explore multiple beaches and towns along the Nicoya Peninsula on your own schedule, a rental car gives you the most flexibility.

How does cleaning work during my stay? Are linens and towels provided?

The apartment is professionally cleaned before your arrival, and fresh bed linens and bath towels are provided for your group. For stays of a week or more, we can help arrange an optional mid-stay cleaning and linen change for an additional fee – just ask before or during your trip. There is space to hang-dry clothes and towels, and if you’d like recommendations for local laundry services, we’re happy to share options.

What should I expect in terms of noise (fútbol field, village, wildlife)?

Most guests find Puerto Carrillo peaceful compared to larger tourist towns, but it is still a real Costa Rican village. From time to time you may hear fútbol games on the field, children playing, dogs, roosters in the morning, or music from local gatherings, especially on weekends or holidays. Inside the apartment, noise is usually moderate, but if you’re a very light sleeper, we recommend bringing earplugs for extra comfort, just like anywhere in rural Costa Rica.

What happens if there’s a power or internet outage during my stay?

In coastal areas of Costa Rica, it’s normal to have occasional short power or internet interruptions, especially during storms or maintenance. Most outages are brief and resolve on their own. If anything lasts longer than expected, send us a quick message so we can check with the provider and give you an update. We always recommend downloading important work files, maps, and tickets offline before traveling, just in case you need to access them while things reboot.
